Occupational first aid Level 3

Course Description

  • This 70 hour (usually held over 2 weeks or as a night class) course prepares the student for employment as an Occupational First Aid Attendant.
  • The student will receive advanced lifesaving techniques as well as becoming fast and efficient to prepare a patient for transport to medical aid (including helicopter transport).
  • The successful candidate will receive the Worksafe BC Occupational first aid Level 3 certificate.

Certification

  • Valid for 3 years upon successful completion of course

Admission Requirements

  • The candidate must:
  • Be a minimum of 16 years of age to be certified.
  • Be in good health and physical condition
  • NEW! Student needs to fill out Occupational First Aid Statement of Fitness before seeing if they need a medical completed by their physician.
  • Provide a medical certificate of the candidate’s fitness from a physician on a form provided by the agency (that is acceptable to Worksafe BC), and signed and approved by both the physician and the student.
  • Provide photographic identification to the Evaluator prior to issuance of a certificate
  • Complete the agency registration forms as well as exam application forms prior to course commencement.
  • The forms must be completed entirely.
  • Provide a parent or guardian signature if under age 19.
